Beware your step as you enter this episode's duel! There are cliffhangers aplenty! With a prompt as vague and encompassing as 'Unrepairable', chaos was sure to ensue. Tune in now to hear show creator Alina Cross and her longtime West Virginia comrade Chris Tsekouras try to best each other with stitched-together short stories of grief and gore. Host Eric Toennis and previous contender Cooper Malin reside as judges. Will Alina and Chris's friendship ever be the same?
The Contestants
Alina lives in Pittsburgh, PA, but she’s from a small town in West Virginia that she hates so much it fuels most of her artistic work. Alina is a graduate of makeup art school, so she now slaves away for corporate makeup companies by day. By night she’s a painter, short story writer, podcaster, photographer, and mixed media artist - just keeping the existential dread at bay.
Chris is a failed overachiever and wage slave. Full of high aspirations but little motivation, Chris spends his days creating meaningless art that get shuffled into notebooks that nobody will ever see, or attempting to play instruments without putting much practice or effort into getting better. He soon will be older, and one day closer to death.
The Judges
A Montana born writer that fled the Big Sky for the West Coast. He currently resides on the sleepy Siletz River outside of Lincoln City, OR enjoying greener pastures. Eric spends his days writing fiction, essays, poetry, and contemplating the vast expanse of stars, planets, and galaxies above his head. He thinks sports are pretty neat too.
A soft poet, a dedicated cartoonist, a rascal who peaked in community college and is only in it for appearances. Coop was born in Montana, lived here and there for a bit, and currently resides in Dixon, MT. When he isn't reading, writing, or drawing, he's stealing beer from supermarkets and daydreaming.
