Waste Division in conjunction with Kirk’s Grocery and the very talented Anna Paige invite you to embark on a new project with us! Join the gang every third Thursday of each month at Kirk’s in downtown Billings for a night pairing voice with sound, noise, and instrumentation. We are encouraging experimentation and inexperience . Do something that's never going to happen again!
Performances will begin at 7:00 pm and we will have six or more performance slots each month in 5-15 minute increments. If you’re interested in performing, signup will take place at the event or you can email anna@penandpaige.com in advance to secure a particular time slot. The “sacrificial” poet will warm up the room, then the first performers begin. Sign up will also allow for random pairing. Improvisation highly encouraged.
Whether you’re looking to make some noise or just join in the festivities, Kirk’s Grocery will welcome you in with open arms. Let’s get weird with it! Word and sound artists are encouraged to bring their poems, stories, or anything that can be spoken, yelled, or whispered, as well as instruments, sound/noise machines, or whatever. This is an open mic setup, so don’t be shy!
C’mon down and WASTE MORE. Flyer by Matthew O’Brien.
