We are officially reopening submissions for our Dreyfest Poetry Jam! In its third year, this event features collaborations between poets and others (musicians, noise makers, paper crumplers, dancers, artists, etc.) exchanging art with audiences in thought-provoking ways. The event takes place at Craft Local (2413 Montana Ave, Billings, MT) on Friday, August 9.
Performers are chosen based on the material provided in their application and adherence to event's emphasis on spoken word and poetry.
By submitting, you agree that your words are yours alone and not intended to cause harm to others, and that you are responsible for any language that you choose to share. No homophobia, racism, sexism, or fascism tolerated.
Submissions can be up to 8 minutes in length.
NOTE: if you’re performing with someone else or doing a collaboration, it’s also suggested that you answer these questions together. However you wanna do it, one response per group, please.
Submissions must be received by June 30th.

Overview
Mario Miner is one cool dude. He makes guitar amps out of ammo cans, grenade canisters & cow skulls, and he makes some rad distortion pedals. And he has a band that kicks ass! Phil and Mario talk about Mario's history growing up near the Fort Belknap Reservation and how that informs the work he does in a DIY mode. They also talk about The Reddmen, the blues, substance abuse, and they mess around with some of Mario's homemade music gear.
