Hi! My name is Shane de Leon and I'll be playing songs on electric guitar and singing. There will be some looping and layering as well. I loved Lady and the Tramp as a child.
Well, Mr. de Leon, it seems that you have your fingers in quite a few musical projects. How often do you perform live?
When I'm in town only once or twice a month but I love to tour and then I play around 6 nights a week.
How do you prepare before a live event? Any pre-show rituals to help calm the nerves? Superstitions?
I like to practice a bit. Not drink or smoke too much prior to the gig.
Any secret talents you want to tell us about? Unicycle? Card Tricks? Online Poker Champion?
I love to draw and go on walks. I'm pretty good at partying.
What is the first album you can remember buying or receiving as a gift?
Neil Diamond's coming to America 7" single in grade school. I got it at Kresge's in West Park Plaza I think.
You are transported into any book of your choice. What book do you choose and what character do you become?
Oh, I'd love to be The Raven King in Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.
What’s your go to snack and music of choice on a long road trip?
Granola bars, apples, and BBQ chips. I love listening to Sun Kil Moon / Mark Kozelek, funkadelic, and The Supremes.
For those coming in from out of town, give your best recommendation for a must see/do around the Magic City before and after the festival.
The Yellowstone Art Museum has up some great shows right now. I like to have ciders at The Last Chance, and walking along the Rims is always good.
